OurFirst Grade program continues to foster literacy skills through children actively reading and writing.   We teach reading strategies to support children in mastering the reading process.  Our first graders write in journals, engage in activities to reinforce letter-sound correspondence, practice reading, and develop vocabulary through hands-on experiences.

Our Math program allows children to use manipulatives to master the base-10 system, develop place value skills, use numbers to solve problems, and apply math skills to science and social studies content.  

                                            

Our science program is hands-on with children developing skills in observation and recording data.
